KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- Kedah are on the right track to defend their FA Cup title after the first legs of the quarter-final got underway Tuesday night.
The Canaries have one foot in the semi-final after they whacked Premier League side Melaka 4-1 at the the Hang Tuah Stadium in Melaka.
Kedah defender Mohd Sabri Mat Abu opened accounts in the 15th minute before their prolific striker Marlon Alex James capped a brace in the 48th and 77th minutes respectively while Mohd Fadly Baharom added his name to the scorer's list with a 70th minute effort.
Julius Abegar gave Melaka their consolation goal in the 66th minute.
